Torn Between Two Laptops.

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a rich kid. It just so happens that when I came home for Christmas break my aunt had sent me a new laptop. Just so we're clear, I can't afford to buy one myself. It was lucky my aunt had thought to give a spiffy Xmas gift. So, for those guys who'd keep teasing me about it, stop. Quit oogling over it & just read my blog. Thank you.

I love my Toshiba laptop. I've only had it for less than half a month (fine, 5 months), yet I'd cry my eyes out if something even happens to it. It's not because it's worth more than I'll ever make in my lifetime (ha ha) - it was given to me by my aunt, whom I love very much the moment she sent it to me - but because practically my entire life's in it - my irreplaceable candid pictures, downloaded and stolen songs, my papers that I had to stay up until dawn to finish (hey, I work well when I'm under pressure. OK, so I cram papers. What, you gonna arrest me now?). Now, that may not sound much to you, but for someone who has to spend 10 months away from her family, her home, and her PC (OK, 9 months - so I have two weeks break for Christmas and another two weeks sem break), it's matter a lot. So you might have an idea of what kind of dilemma I am currently facing when I got home on fateful day,and - lo and behold - there, on top of our dinner table (I was wondering why they placed it there), sat a new laptop. An APPLE PowerBook laptop.

Initial reaction? GASP! OH MY GOD! PINCH ME, I MUST BE DREAMING! and the like. After getting over that, I kinda realized that I have a problem. Should I choose my trusty Lappy-Toppy over a new, shiny, APPLE (can't emphasize it enough) PowerBook?

Ever since, every single night, I lie awake in my bed, late into the evening, pondering over it. What should I do? Which should I choose? Why can't I sleep? Darn, no more iced teas before bed.


So, there. Just that. Toshiba over Apple? You decide.
